Portrait of an Opera Singer – 1 minute documentary about Leon de la Guardia

A 1-minute documentary featuring operatic tenor Leon de la Guardia in Italy. This was my entry for Sony’s 1-minute documentary competition.

 


 
Leon is a very talented opera singer who has travelled the world looking for perfection in his technique. He currently resides in Asolo, in the north of Italy, a magical little town that time seems to have forgotten.

My friend Maria Jose and I wanted to shoot a music video for her rendition of Yuridia’s Ya Es Muy Tarde. We only had a couple of hours to come up with a concept and shoot it, so after a long extended lunch in good Latin American fashion, we were ready to set off!
